As part of our long-standing partnership with World Vision Syria Response, Prisma has recently conducted several comprehensive evaluations that build upon years of successful collaboration. This ongoing relationship has allowed us to develop deep expertise in humanitarian assessment within the Syrian crisis context while providing World Vision with consistent, high-quality evaluation services.
Recent Evaluation Projects
Our evaluation portfolio with World Vision Syria Response continues to grow, with recent months including:
- Protecting Vulnerable Children in Jordan: Prisma completed the final evaluation of the “Road to Resilience” project in Jordan’s Azraq refugee camp. This initiative focused on strengthening protective measures for boys and girls, reducing their exposure to violence, and fostering positive relationships within families and communities.
- Emergency Health Response Following the 2023 Earthquake: Prisma evaluated the “Improved Access to Health and Nutrition Services in Northwest Syria (NWS)” project, which included specialized support for people with disabilities. This emergency response initiative addressed critical health and nutrition needs in Aleppo and Idleb following the February 2023 earthquake.
- Baseline Assessment for Nutrition and Disease Prevention: We conducted a baseline evaluation for the “Health and Nutrition Assistance for Communities Affected by Displacement in Northwest and Northcentral Syria” project. This initiative aimed to minimize malnutrition in Northwest Syria and prevent communicable disease outbreaks across Northwest and North-central Syria.
- Economic Self-Reliance Through Environmental Sustainability: Prisma completed the final evaluation of a four-year project focused on increasing economic self-reliance among Azraq camp refugees through environmentally responsible Solid Waste Management (SWM). This innovative approach worked to enhance economic conditions, environmental sustainability, and health outcomes for Syrian refugees.
All evaluations employed a rigorous mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Data collection included comprehensive surveys, key informant interviews (KII), small group discussions (SGD), focus group discussions (FGD), in-depth case studies, thorough document reviews of secondary data.
Through these evaluations, Prisma has provided World Vision Syria Response with actionable insights to enhance program effectiveness and sustainable impact for vulnerable populations affected by the Syrian crisis. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to improving humanitarian outcomes through evidence-based assessment and strategic recommendations.
